This is the future home of Home Sick University. For now, we're just holding the domain name, as we continue to brain storm the approach we'd like to take with this site. But, to give a little teaser, we'd like to gear it more towards the parents than the college kids. Why? Because, on the average, parents are likely to become more "home sick" towards their children then compared to the opposite situation.
Sure, there are some college kids that will get home sick, but for the most part, there's just too much activity going on at college for students to have the opportunity to sit around and be thinking about what's going on back home.
Now, that being said, don't get super sad on us, parents. There are ways to cope with this situation. That, however, will be for a future posting. In the mean time, realize that even though your kid may not call all that often, that doesn't mean they don't love you or aren't thinking about you.
Check back soon for an update!
PS. Yes, we realize that the parents are the ones at home. So, how can a parent be truly "home sick" according to what the dictionary defines? Well, you see, in our dictionary, a parent who is sick at home is "home sick". So, let that stand for the record.
